Closures of state's historic sites, museums extended through June 30; furloughs planned

Minnesota's historic sites and museums will remain closed and in-person events as well as rentals will be canceled through June 30 due to COVID-19, according to an update from the Minnesota Historical Society.

According to the historical society, an online resource called History at Home will be offered and teachers will have access to distance learning materials for their students. 

Meanwhile, the historical society announced that due to the effects of the virus, it is planning to furlough "a number of staff" starting May 1 through June 30.
