Child suffers gunshot wound in Minneapolis
Police say a child under 18 years old was shot through a wall inside a Minneapolis home Friday night.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, at 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation on the 3000 block of Dupont Avenue North.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a teenager suffering from a gunshot wound that police say is not considered to be life-threatening. The teenager was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.
Police are still searching for the suspect, but there is no indication of whether the child inside the residence was an intended target.
