Artists and art lovers are expected to return to Maple Grove next week for the 9th annual Chalkfest.

The free-to-attend two-day celebration is planned for June 8 and June 9 on Main Street in Maple Grove, MN between Elm Creek Boulevard and Arbor Lakes Parkway. The celebration is expected to bring in 50 artists from around the world who will chalk the street with their individual and unique art styles all with chalk.

This year, the festival has expanded both in size and features. A new kid zone has been created, including fun activities as well as a chalk art zone for families and kids to try chalking. A live music stage has also been added to the event.
