CentraCare updates visitor policy in light of declining COVID-19 cases
CentraCare has updated its current visitor policy for some of its facilities.
Starting Monday, one healthy adult visitor will be allowed per patient at all CentraCare and Carris Health sites, with two adult visitors allowed for minor patients at hospitals, clinics and specialty centers.
Officials say the guidelines don’t pertain to the company’s long-term care facilities due to separate regulations for vulnerable populations.
The updated guidelines come as COVID-19 case numbers drop.
All visitors must not have COVID-19 symptoms, and be healthy. In addition, the company says visitors shouldn’t visit for 10 full days after testing positive for COVID-19, or having a known close contact exposure to anyone with COVID-19.
Medical-grade masks are required at all facilities. Anyone who doesn’t have a medical grade mask, such as cloth masks, bandanas or gaiters, will be offered a medical-grade mask when they arrive at a facility.
