Butcher & The Boar closing permanently, citing COVID-19, civil unrest

Butcher & The Boar, the award-winning downtown Minneapolis eatery known for its gourmet meats, announced it is closing its doors for good.

"Due to Covid 19 and the unrest in Minneapolis we are sadly closing our doors permanently," a sign on the restaurant’s door states.
Thank you for your support over the years."

Butcher & The Boar opened in 2012 and received national recognition as a James Beard Award semifinalist for Best New Restaurant in 2013. City Pages also awarded it the Best Steak in its 2019 Best of the Twin Cities awards.
