Brooklyn Park police investigating armed robbery near college campus

Brooklyn Park police are investigating an armed robbery overnight on the 7600 block of College Park Drive, the department said in an alert Sunday.

Police say they went to a home around 3:16 a.m. near North Hennepin Community College and learned three suspects had kicked in the front door.

Residents told police one of them was assaulted, and that one of the suspects had a handgun.

BPPD and nearby agencies set a perimeter but have not found any suspects at this time.

A New Hope K-9 was called to help determine if the suspects ran or drove away.
