Boy shot in West St. Paul, police investigating

Police are investigating after a boy was shot Monday afternoon in West St. Paul.

According to the West St. Paul Police Department, officers responded to the 400 block of Roeller Avenue East on a report of shots fired at around 12:50 p.m.

There, police found a juvenile male victim who had been shot in the legs. The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. His age was not immediately known.

Police said several shell casings were found on the road and investigators currently believe the home was intentionally targeted.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
