Both drivers dead, sole passenger in hospital after Kandiyohi County crash

Two people are dead and one is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in Kandiyohi County on Saturday afternoon, according to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report.

Responders went to a two-vehicle crash around 4:30 p.m. Saturday in East Lake Lillian Township.

According to the crash report, a Ford Edge traveling west on Highway 7 and a GMC Yukon traveling south on 195th Street collided at the intersection.

Both drivers died at the scene. Neither was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.

The Ford driver was identified as 86-year-old August Faber of Lake Lillian. The GMC driver was identified as 35-year-old Jacob Dahlheimer of Faribault.

The only other person involved in the crash, a passenger in the Ford, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for life-threatening injuries. She has been identified as 83-year-old Gertrude Faber of Lake Lillian.

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene.
