Body recovered from St. Croix River Saturday morning, Hudson police say

UPDATE 03/05/24:
Hudson police identified the victim as Anders David Engstrom, 34, of Hudson. Authorities said his death is believed to have been accidental freshwater drowning and foul play is not suspected.
A body was recovered from the St. Croix River Saturday morning, according to a news release from the Hudson Police Department.
Officers responded to Lake Front Park south of Dike Road around 8:27 a.m. on a report of a body in the water. The deceased person has not been identified.
There is an active investigation underway and police do not believe there is a threat to the community.
