Body found inside RV in Hasting’s Walmart parking lot

A body was found inside an RV at a Walmart parking lot Thursday morning in Hasting.

According to the Hastings Police Department, at 9 a.m., officers responded to a report of a wanted person that may be living in an RV in the Walmart parking lot located in the 1700 block of North Frontage Road.

Police said Walmart corporation allows vehicles to park in their lots for extended periods of time as a matter of corporate policy.

Arriving officers observed a still human silhouette in the RV and attempted to make contact by knocking on doors and windows. Officers determined there was no response and then entered and found a deceased male.

No foul play is suspected.

Hastings Police and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner are investigating.
