Bloomington police ask for public’s help finding vulnerable adult

The Bloomington Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a vulnerable adult.

Rosaleia Garcia Shelton, 19, was last seen around 4 p.m. Monday at her residence near 90th Street and Wentworth Avenue in Bloomington, police said. Family described her as "multicultural" and she is about 5-foot-5 and 145 pounds. She was wearing a long black coat, black tennis shoes, possibly gray pants, and carrying a pink backpack decorated with cats. Over her left eyebrow she has a scar, family said.

Shelton has memory loss, "the mentality of a child" and is suicidal, according to her family. She is off of her medication.

"I love her and miss her very much," Shelton’s mother, Roseabelle, said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Bloomington Police Department at 952-563-4900.
