‘Blessing of the Bikes’ draws hundreds to Forest Lake church

A Forest Lake church was filled with hundreds of motorcycles Sunday — both in the parking lot and inside the building.

Maranatha Church held its annual Blessing of the Bikes as droves of bikers rode through the church doors to be prayed over.

"I know a lot of community members, but there’s a lot people who traveled a long ways just because they heard about it," said the Rev. Mike Haseltine, a pastor at Maranatha Church. "So its good to see good old friends and meet new ones."

Organizers say there was a large turnout for the event, which was canceled last year because of the pandemic.
