Blaine man pleads guilty to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl
A Blaine man pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota.
According to the news release, law enforcement served a search warrant at the home of 35-year-old Demarcus Lee Washington in May of 2021.
Officers say they found over 1,000 grams of controlled substances, of which at least 800 grams was fentanyl.
The case was investigated by Department of Homeland Security, the Ramsey County Violent Crime Enforcement Team (VCET) and the Roseville and Mounds View Police Departments, the news release states.
A sentencing date for Washington has not yet been scheduled.
