Billy’s on Grand to reopen Memorial Day weekend under new ownership

A popular bar and restaurant along Grand Avenue in St. Paul is reopening Friday, under new ownership.
The restaurant announced it will reopen in time for the Memorial Day weekend, under "new ownership from a dynamic team," according to its website.
The restaurant announced it has hired executive chef Jeremy Bechtold and has updated its menu.
The reopening comes after Billy’s on Grand announced in October it would close for the winter season.

At that time, the restaurant reported being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as being "denied additional support" from the city of St. Paul in handling "unique challenges in our neighborhood late at night" as reasons for the seasonal closure.
