Bastille Day celebration to be held Thursday night in Minneapolis
July 14th marks the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille – a military fortress and prison in Paris – in 1789, helping bring in the French Revolution.
Thursday night starting at 5 p.m. a Minneapolis neighborhood Bastille Day celebration is happening at the Joly Center until 7 p.m.
The party then moves to two area breweries – La Doña Cervecería and Royal Foundry Craft Spirits until 9 p.m.
Live music, food, beverages, a flea market, puppet show and a vintage cars parade will be a part of the celebration.
While the event is free, donations are encouraged and will be given to the Alliance Francaise of Minneapolis-St. Paul.
