Authorities investigating armed robbery at Bloomington Jimmy John’s

Authorities in Bloomington are investigating a armed robbery that occurred at a Jimmy John’s in the city Wednesday.

According to the police department, officers were called just after 6 p.m. on the report of a robbery at the Jimmy John’s on Normandale Boulevard.

Witnesses said two men entered the store and ordered food. One of the men then pulled out a gun and shot it into the ceiling.

The suspect then told employees to empty the cash registers.

Both suspects fled on foot.

Police said both suspects had bandanas or masks over their faces and were dressed in construction clothing.
