Authorities in Anoka County investigating reports of sexual assault involving former middle school staff member

Authorities in Anoka County are investigating reports of sexual assault that involve a former staff member at Anoka Middle School for the Arts. 

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office said it received a report of a sexual assault that occurred nine years ago. Authorities were told that a staff member at the school assaulted a juvenile off of school grounds. The sheriff's office said the suspect in the case is no longer a staff member at the school. 

According to the sheriff's office, it is also investigating a second report of sexual assault involving the same suspect that occurred in 2019. 

The sheriff's office added that it has received information that was seen on social media regarding assaults on the different victim that involve the suspect. That information has not been reported to law enforcement, according to the sheriff's office.
