Arrests made in connection to Minneapolis shooting of forensic scientist

The Minneapolis Police Department confirmed that two people have been arrested in connection to a shooting that left a woman critically injured in the Prospect Park neighborhood in Minneapolis.

Colleen Purificacion Larson, 24-years-old, and 41-year-old Timothy Allen Amacher have been arrested in connection to the shooting of Nicki Lenway, a forensic scientist for the City of Minneapolis. Both are in custody at the Hennepin County Jail.

The shooting happened just after 7:30 p.m. on April 20, near the intersection of Malcolm and University Avenues southeast outside of the Family Wise family support center.

Larson and Amacher have not been formally charged yet in connection to the case. No other information has been released on their arrests.
