Animal Humane Society to distribute pet food to help families struggling to feed animals
The Animal Humane Society announced it will help in the distribution of pet food to families in the metro who are struggling to feed their pets.
A news release from the organization said it received nearly 36,000 pounds of dry and wet cat and dog food from community partners.
On Thursday, Second Harvest Heartland is expected to receive 11 pallets, or 13,600 pounds, of the pet food to distribute to the community.
