Alleged arsonist arrested in connection to 2 St. Louis County fires

A Duluth man has been arrested in connection to two fires in Grand Lake Township in St. Louis County, according to WDIO-TV in Duluth.

WDIO reports that police responded to a 911 call for a travel trailer that was on fire on the 6400 block of Beckman Road. A mobile home was also set on fire. 

Both structures were considered a total loss. No one was injured. 

WDIO reports that authorities say witness statements and evidence suggests the fires were set intentionally. Following an investigation, the fire was determined to be arson. 

The 53-year-old suspect fled the scene but was later arrested. 

According to WDIO, he is being held at the St. Louis County Jail.
