Alexandria police: 6-year-old pulled from hotel pool dies

Authorities say a 6-year-old who was pulled from a hotel pool in Alexandria earlier this month has died.

Police were called to the Holiday Inn at around 6:45 p.m. on June 11. When officers got there, the child was out of the pool and CPR had been started.

The boy was then taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Wednesday, police confirmed the boy died on June 15. He was identified as Japheth Peng.
