Aimco dropping Calhoun from Beach Club Apartments name

Aimco says it is changing the name of its Calhoun Beach Club Apartments in Minneapolis to remove Calhoun from the name.

The company confirmed to KSTP on Friday that it is making the transition to a new name in a few weeks. It added that it's still working to finalize the new name.

"The foundation of Aimco is respect for all individuals – whether they be team members, residents or members of the surrounding communities we serve," the company said in a statement. "That is the foundation upon which our mission, vision, and culture are built. We also believe strongly in building community – with one another as teammates, with our valued residents, and with our neighbors."
