Dozens of activists rallied for a better health care system Sunday at the Minnesota Capitol.

State Rep. Alice Mann, DFL-Lakeville, took the podium at the event to advocate for health care to be treated as a human right.

"Today was about amplifying the stories of the people who are really struggling in our current healthcare system, to show that our system is not working for the people and instead of getting better, people are getting worse," Mann said.

Mann said other speakers shared stories of their struggles to afford health care under Minnesota's current system, such as not being able to afford medication or being afraid of calling an ambulance when they're sick.
