82-year-old killed in crash with FedEx truck identified

The woman who died Tuesday afternoon following a crash with a FedEx truck near Northfield has been identified.
The crash happened at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday on County Road 23 near 307th Street in Greenvale Township.

The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office says 82-year-old Carol James, from Northfield, died after her 2020 Buick Envision crossed into the northbound lane of County Road 23 and collided with a FedEx semi-truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tuesday, FedEx told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, “Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends who are mourning their loved one lost in this accident. We are cooperating fully with investigating authorities.”
