72-year-old injured in shooting in Minneapolis’ Seward neighborhood
A man was injured Monday morning after a shooting in Minneapolis’ Seward neighborhood.
According to Minneapolis Police, officers received a report of a shooting in the 2900 block of Franklin Avenue East at about 7:30 a.m. There, officers found a 72-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Police said preliminary information suggests the shooting happened during a possible robbery attempt outside a business.
The suspect is described as a Black man in his 20s, about 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a slim build. He was also wearing a mask, a black sweater with a white square on the back and a hood, as well as gray pants.
