7-year-old boy critically hurt in Columbia Heights crash
A Minneapolis boy was critically injured Wednesday night after a crash in Columbia Heights.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a 2005 Honda Pilot was headed south on Highway 65 and a 2005 Hyundai Tucson was eastbound on 45th Avenue Northeast just before 6 p.m. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.
According to the crash report, a 7-year-old boy in the Hyundai wasn’t wearing a seat belt and suffered life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Hyundai was also taken to a hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
The three people in the Honda all suffered injuries not considered to be life-threatening, with two of them going to a hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
