4 displaced after overnight fire in Minneapolis

Four people are now displaced, including two children, after a possible arson in Minneapolis Sunday night.

The incident happened along Dupont and 40th avenues.

Fire officials say one of the residents called emergency crews to report several people were in the yard with a gas can.

Crews arrived around 11 p.m. to find the home’s front porch engulfed in flames and the fire spreading to the inside of the home.

A pet died in the fire, but all four people inside made it out safely.

The fire is now under investigation.
