350K ‘frontline’ Target workers to get additional $200 bonus
This week, Target announced a new round of holiday bonuses for more than 350,000 of its frontline employees.
The Minneapolis-based retailer announced the additional $200 bonus Monday, stating the bonuses will be distributed "to continue showing our thanks for their extraordinary performance during unprecedented times."
The bonuses will go to hourly staff members both in stores and distribution centers, including season hires.
The bonuses are part of the nearly $1 billion Target reports it plans to spend on the wellbeing, health and safety of its team members.
"In a year like no other, I’m proud of what this team has accomplished and grateful for the care and connection they’ve provided our guests and communities," Melissa Kremer, Target’s chief HR officer, said in a statement.
