On Saturday, runners from across the state of Minnesota ran to raise awareness for sex trafficking victims.

The 30 for Freedom run featured a 5K, 10K, half-marathon and ultra marathon. Runners collected donations to address sex trafficking prevention, rescue operations and survivor care.

"A lot of people hate running but they tell me, ‘I hate sex trafficking more,’" said founder of 30 for Freedom, Brent Silkey, who added seeing the effort of those who attended the run is "the greatest thing in the whole world."

Organizers say while they are still collecting money now, they expect to raise about $350,000 for a few different organizations.
