3 ‘Come From Away’ performances postponed at Orpheum Theatre as tour scrambles to find replacement actors
The producers of the musical tour of Come From Away are scrambling to find more actors to fill in for touring company members who have breakthrough cases of COVID-19 so the production can continue its run in Minneapolis.
Three shows in a row are now postponed. After a show was postponed Thursday night, Hennepin Theatre Trust announced the postponement of two more shows: 8 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday.
Producers are working to bring in standby actors from Broadway and other locations, Hennepin Theatre Trust said. As of Friday, they are hoping the rest of the run of the tour will play as scheduled, including Saturday night’s 8 p.m. show. They are also working to reschedule the three postponed shows.
Hennepin Theatre Trust says that ticket holders impacted by the postponed shows should be told on to their tickets. These patrons will be contacted by email with the next steps.
"Come From Away" is playing at the Orpheum Theatre through Jan. 23.
