2nd COVID-19 community vaccination site coming to MSP Airport

A second COVID-19 community vaccination site will open this week at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
Gov. Tim Walz’s office said Wednesday that the temporary site will be open to the public and travelers 18 years of age and older. The site will be set up at Terminal 2, outside of security beginning on Thursday, and will operate from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., seven days per week.
The Terminal 2 vaccination site joins the other MSP Airport site, which is located in Terminal 1 and launched this past Saturday.
"All eligible Minnesotans can now get fully vaccinated at the airport, without going through security," Walz said. "The Johnson & Johnson vaccine offered at the airport is just a single dose, so you can now protect yourself from COVID-19 in one stop while you catch your flight, or wait for your loved one to land. We are working hard to offer these safe and effective vaccines to every Minnesotan who wants them, and we are proud to offer options as convenient as this one for travelers and non-travelers alike."
The state said more than 600,006 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered through its community vaccination program, as of Wednesday.
All participants at the Terminal 2 site will receive a single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Walk-ins are accepted, but appointments can also be made online.
