2 taken to hospital after rescue at Fruen Mill

Two teenagers were taken to a hospital early Friday after rescue crews were called to Fruen Mill in Minneapolis.

The Minneapolis Fire Department says crews responded to a request for a rescue and medical response just before 3:10 a.m. The caller reported that a person fell three stories at the old Fruen Mill site, near Glenwood Avenue and Thomas Avenue North.

When crews arrived, they found an 18-year-old woman that had fallen around 20 feet and a 17-year-old boy suffering from a medical condition.

Fire crews and paramedics provided emergency care before the two were taken to a hospital.

Authorities say the woman was in serious condition, although her injuries weren’t immediately clear. The boy wasn’t injured in a fall but his condition is unclear.
