2 suspects wanted in armed St. Cloud gas station robbery

The St. Cloud Police Department says officers are investigating after two suspects robbed a gas station in St. Cloud.

According to police, on Thursday at around 9:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a Speedway gas station located along the 10 block of 14th Avenue NE.

Upon arrival, officers determined that two unknown male suspects had entered the store. One of the suspects displayed a handgun, threatened the two adult staff members and demanded money. The other suspect stood by the doors during the incident and appeared to be a lookout.

The suspect with the gun walked behind the counter and eventually obtained an undisclosed amount of money, at which time both males left the store on foot, heading west.

No customers were inside at the time of the robbery.

Police said the suspect with the handgun was described as a Black male, about 5-feet-7-inches to 5-feet-10-inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a light blue surgical type mask, blue jeans and black boots. The other male who stood by the door was described as wearing a black hooded jacket with black jeans and white shoes. His race is unknown, authorities add.

The investigation is active and being investigated by investigators assigned to the St. Cloud Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU).
