2 shot near Powderhorn Park Sunday

Two people were shot near Powderhorn Park Sunday afternoon, according to the Minneapolis Police Department.

At 3:42 p.m., officers responded to the 3400 block of 10th Avenue South — near the southwest corner of the park — for reports of gunshots. Police then learned that two men had arrived at Abbott Northwestern Hospital with gunshot wounds.

One man suffered life-threatening injuries but his current condition is unknown. The other man’s injuries were not life-threatening.

Police said information about the shooting is “limited” at this time. An investigation is underway.
