2 robberies reported near U of M Friday afternoon

Authorities are investigating two robberies that occurred near the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus Friday afternoon.

According to a U of M alert, both robberies happened in the area of 29th and Como avenues southeast. The first happened at 2:44 p.m. and the second was a short time later.

The alert described the suspects as two men between the ages of 19 and 25, one wearing a green jacket and the other wearing a black hoodie. A gun was seen in one of the robberies.

No other details were immediately available.
