2 of 5 vehicle occupants critically injured in Jackson County rollover crash

Five people were hurt in a single-vehicle rollover crash just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Jackson County, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.

Two of those people – 67-year-old Anarbol Maldonado Magana of Pasco, Washington, and 54-year-old Raymundo Quiroz Rosales, whose residency hasn’t been listed – are listed as being in a Sioux Falls Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The other three people were treated for injuries that weren’t considered to be life-threatening, according to the State Patrol.

Early information indicates the five people were in a Jeep Liberty that rolled at some point while traveling east on Interstate 90 in Des Moines Township.

It is unclear what caused the crash, but road conditions were snowy and icy at the time.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
