2 killed in Thursday crash near Brainerd

Two women died Thursday night after the vehicle they were in was hit by oncoming traffic.

A Minnesota State Patrol crash report states 19-year-old Katrina Rose Lipp was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu east on Highway 210 in Oak Lawn Township when it crossed over the center line and was hit by a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado.

Lipp and her passenger, 21-year-old Tiffanie Amber Rivera, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The two people in the Silverado suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
