Two Kayakers injured in boat collision on Sauk Lake
Two people kayaking on Sauk Lake in Sauk Centre are in the hospital following a boat and kayak crash Monday afternoon, according to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
The press release says that Stearns County deputies and Sauk Centre authorities responded to emergency calls for a watercraft accident at 1:09 p.m.
First responders determined that an 18-foot boat hit a two-person kayak. The two people from Colorado who were in the kayak were taken to the hospital, one with serious injuries.
The sheriff’s office says that the Sauk Centre man driving the boat was not impaired, and no one in the boat was injured. The incident is under investigation.
