2 charged in Minneapolis carjacking spree
A man and woman in their 20s have been charged in connection to multiple carjackings that occurred in the Twin Cities.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Jeremiah Lee Ironrope has been charged with four counts of carjacking and one count of using a firearm during a crime of violence, while Krisanne Marie Benjamin has been charged with three counts of carjacking.
The indictment says Ironrope and Benjamin were involved in carjackings on Aug. 7, Aug. 28 and Dec. 30.
During the Aug. 28 incident, Ironrope brandished a firearm, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
