2 arrested after drugs, $34K found near Willmar

Authorities seized drugs, a gun and more than $30,000 in cash from a home near Willmar on Friday.

The CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force, along with the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, executed the search warrant at a home in Pennock.

There, authorities found more than a quarter-pound of methamphetamine, more than 2 pounds of synthetic cannabinoids, or K2, a handgun and $34,000 in cash, the task force said.

Two people were arrested on first-degree controlled substance charges and two children were removed for placement by Kandiyohi County Family Services, according to the task force.

An investigation remains ongoing.
