2 adults, 2 dogs found dead in Becker County home

Two people and two dogs were found dead inside a home just outside of Detroit Lakes Tuesday morning.

The Becker County Sheriff’s Office says deputies received a call requesting law enforcement shortly after 9 a.m. and responded to a home off of County Highway 6, not far from West Lake Drive.

Inside the home, authorities found two dead adults — one man, one woman — and two dead dogs.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct autopsies to determine the victims’ cause of death.

Their deaths remain under investigation, and no other details were immediately available. However, the sheriff’s office says the incident appears to be an isolated event and there isn’t any concern for public safety.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was also contacted and is helping with the investigation.
