$1M-winning Powerball ticket sold in Chanhassen
One lucky person has won $1 million after buying a lottery ticket in Chanhassen this week.
The Minnesota Lottery says the million-dollar was sold at the Cub Foods on Market Boulevard ahead of Wednesday’s drawing and matched the first five numbers drawn — 6-28-44-59-61 — but missed the Powerball number — 21.
For selling the winning ticket, the Cub Foods location will also get a $5,000 bonus.
The $1 million prize has to be claimed in person at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville. Winners don’t have to be named publicly unless they choose to be.
It’s the fourth million-dollar Powerball prize won in Minnesota this year, as previous winners were sold in Hinckley last month and in Duluth in October and June.
Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot wasn’t won Wednesday night and the estimated jackpot for Dec. 10 has grown to $116 million.
