17-year-old pleads guilty to August murder in Minneapolis
A 17-year-old has pleaded guilty to murdering a man in Minneapolis in what investigators are calling gang violence.
Christopher Shawn-Michael Johnson pleaded guilty Friday to one count of second-degree murder, court documents show.
Police say 31-year-old Prince Shamir Hinton — also known as Prince Martin — died after the Aug. 7 shooting at Winner Gas Station.
A criminal complaint states Johnson wasn’t allowed to possess firearms for life after a simple robbery in 2018.
His sentencing is set for May 20, 2022.
