16-year-old killed in St. Cloud crash
A teenager died Tuesday night following a crash in St. Cloud, police said.
The two-vehicle crash happened at around 9:20 p.m. along the 3000 block of County Road 74, according to St. Cloud Police.
One of the vehicles was headed north on the road while the other was headed south when they collided.
Police say a 17-year-old driver and 16-year-old passenger were in one of the vehicles. The 16-year-old had to be extricated but was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
The other vehicle was occupied by an 18-year-old, 19-year-old and 20-year-old. They were all taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately clear as it’s still under investigation.
