16-year-old killed in crash with dump truck near Mankato

A 16-year-old Madison Lake girl died Monday after colliding with a dump truck in Blue Earth County.
The crash happened at 4:43 p.m. about 10 miles east of Mankato.
According to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report, the dump truck was headed east on Highway 14 when it tried to turn north onto County Road 17 and collided with a westbound Nissan Murano.
The driver of the Nissan, identified as Gabriela Rose Hebl, was airlifted to a hospital but later died. The driver of the dump truck wasn’t injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
