15 cats shot in Dunn County; $3K reward offered
A $3,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person who dumped nearly three dozen cats and fatally shot 15 of them in western Wisconsin.
The Dunn County Humane Society said the cats were found near the Dunnville Bottoms in the southwest corner of Spring Brook Township.
According to the Humane Society, the cats were apparently abandoned on the side of the road next to a pile of cat food. Someone then shot and killed at least 15 of them. Another 18 were still alive and rescued by authorities.
The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, as animal cruelty is against the law in Wisconsin. Anyone with information is asked to call 715-232-1348.
