10th Avenue Bridge in Minneapolis reopens
Tuesday marked the reopening of the 10th Avenue Bridge in Minneapolis.
The bridge had been closed for rehabilitation work.
According to city officials, the 1929-era bridge over the Mississippi River is on the National Register of Historic Places. Crews have worked to rehabilitate the bridge and a new water main has been relocated under the river.
Tuesday, Minneapolis Public Works officials were set to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the bridge’s reopening.
The bridge will reopen to all traffic Wednesday.
