The bridge had been closed for rehabilitation work.
According to city officials, the 1929-era bridge over the Mississippi River is on the National Register of Historic Places. Crews have worked to rehabilitate the bridge and a new water main has been relocated under the river.
Tuesday, Minneapolis Public Works officials were set to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the bridge’s reopening.
The bridge will reopen to all traffic Wednesday.
