1 victim suffers stab wound, suspect in custody

A victim is suffering from a stab wound after a dispute Saturday night in Minneapolis.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, at 8:14 p.m., officers were called to an area on a possible stabbing at 900 block of 17th Avenue Southeast.

Once officers arrived on the scene, they located a suspect and a victim.

Police stated that the preliminary investigation yields that the two parties know each other and the stabbing was a result of a dispute.

The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with a stab wound consider not life-threatening.

The suspect was booked into the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center.

No further information is available. The incident remains under investigation.
