1 shot in Brooklyn Park, police investigating

A person was shot in Brooklyn Park Wednesday night.

According to a release from the Brooklyn Park Police Department, officers were called to the 6200 block of 78th Ave. N. on the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived they located a victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. The wound is not considered to be life-threatening.

Police set up a perimeter and brought K-9 units to try and locate a suspect. They located the crime scene a short area away from where they were called but did not locate any suspects.

The investigation into this shooting is ongoing.
