1 injured in Brooklyn Park shooting; police searching for suspects

One victim was suffering from a gunshot wound in Brooklyn Park Saturday night.

According to the Brooklyn Park Police Department, at 10 p.m., an officer was patrolling the 6300 block of Boone Avenue North and heard gunshots’ sound in the area.

While the officer was trying to locate where the gunshots were coming from, several 911 callers reported that an individual was seen limping away from the scene.

Once officers arrived on the scene, they located a victim that had been shot, but the injury was considered to be not life-threatening.

According to police, the area was searched by using a K-9 and the state patrol helicopter.

No suspects have been arrested in this incident. Police said that it was discovered that the suspects may have left in a vehicle.
